IBD note: The 15,000-mile (=$150 air-ticket discount) bonus consists of three parts

1) 5,000 sign-up miles that you get after the first purchase
2) 5,000 bonus miles that you get after spending $5,000 within a year
3) 5,000 regular reward miles that you get after spending $5,000 at the rate 1 mile per $1 spent

You should be able to exchange 15,000 miles for a $150 air-ticket discount or $75 statement credit (at 0.5% cashback rate).

The number of miles required to redeem for other travel related purchase redemptions (i.e. restaurants, maps, or any other purchases related to your travel needs) is based on the Cardholder’s chosen purchases, multiplied by 200 (e.g., if the cost of the purchase chosen by the Cardholder is $50.00, the miles required for redemption will be 50 x 200 = 10,000). Once approved, the Account holder can visit www.capitalone.com/nohasslerewards to register the account and see a complete description of current redemption offers Account holder will have a maximum of 90 days from the date the travel purchase posts to their account to call the Rewards Center to be reimbursed for the cost using the appropriate number of miles, if available. Account holder is responsible for all associated taxes, fees and other costs required for travel. These charges will be included in the overall calculation to determine the appropriate number of miles required for redemption.


Bonus terms:


First Purchase Bonus: 5,000 bonus miles will be applied to the rewards balance within two billing cycles after the first qualifying purchase is posted to the account.

Anniversary Bonus: In order to receive the 5,000 bonus miles each year, a minimum purchase level of $5,000.00 in net purchases must post to the account each year by the anniversary date. Bonus will be applied to the rewards balance within two billing cycles of the anniversary.
