Business credit card

Note: In order to get enough miles for Kindle Fire (53,400 as of 12/12/11, see more details here) from Delta Marketplace, you would need to apply for both personal and business Delta credit cards and then spend $500 with each card within 3 months. You should be able to use your SSN as business tax ID and you name as the business name if you apply as Sole Proprietor. If you do not want to apply for a business card, you can still use bonus miles to pay a part of Kindle Fire cost (~ 50% ?). Annual fees of both cards are waived during the first year.


Personal credit card:

30,000 bonus miles when you spend $500 on the Card in the first three months from account opening - good for a free flight

$500 or more in qualifying purchases on the Card must be completed within three months to be awarded the 30,000 bonus miles. The three–month period is evaluated from the date the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card is issued to the date ending three months thereafter. Miles will be credited to your account 2–4 weeks after you reach the spend threshold.

30,000 bonus SkyMiles awarded within 2–4 weeks after you reach the spend threshold; 15,000 miles awarded if upgrading from classic Delta SkyMiles Card. Additional 2,500 bonus miles awarded for each approved Additional Card submitted with application – up to 5,000 bonus miles. 25,000 SkyMiles good for free ticket up to $250 including taxes and fees. Only Basic (not Additional) Gold, Platinum and Reserve Delta SkyMiles Credit Cardmembers and Gold, Platinum and Reserve Business Credit Cardmembers are eligible. Limited to Delta and Delta Connection® carrier flights booked under DL code on delta.com. Minimum 25,000 miles for free ticket redemption. Pay with Miles tickets are not eligible for mileage accrual, Medallion Qualification Segments, Medallion Qualification Miles, or Best Fare Guarantee. Medallion Complimentary Upgrades on Pay with Miles tickets is limited to Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Medallion passengers and may not be eligible on all flights. The annual fee for the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card will be waived for the first year of Cardmembership. The annual fee will be $95.
